What is this role all about?
We're looking for volunteers to help with general gardening and maintenance activities at the Community Orchard in Abbey. We meet at the Orchard on the 1st Wednesday of each month for a gardening session 9:30am - 11:30am.
Upcoming Orchard sessions in 2025:
5th February, 5th March, and 2nd April

What skills do I need?
All equipment is provided, and no gardening experience is needed, just the willingness to learn and participate in physical tasks.
Is there any training or support available?
Session Leads will provide guidance and support on safe use of tools, and give instructions on how to carry out the different tasks.
What else do I need to know?
Find us at Margaret Wright Community Orchard, Whitehill Road, CB5 8LZ. The no.3 bus stops on Whitehill Road and then it’s a short walk to the Orchard.
Please bring a water bottle and dress appropriately for the weather, we suggest wearing comfortable sturdy shoes and clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty.
