Retail Hub Assistant

Our Hub is a fantastic, large warehouse in Pampisford filled to the brim with goods. The Hub is quite literally the hub of our retail operations; from here donations are sorted through and collated, ready to go to the shops on the van.

We don't just sort here - we sell too! Our Hub also has a 'shop floor' with lots of items to be sold including larger pieces of furniture. The donations which need further work also live here, that might be PAT testing electrical equipment to be sold safely, checking electrical equipment works or researching the best price for those extra special donations that will be sold online.

With such a 'hub' of activity there are many ways you can get involved as a volunteer, depending on your experience, expertise and what you hope to gain from volunteering with us.

You could support with:

Researching and listing items on eBay for us to sell, these are usually are more unique items that we know we can sell for more online

Sorting through donations, pricing them and putting them on the shop floor or getting them ready to send to the shops

Scanning books to identify which have a high sale value so they can be listed online (there's a clever gadget that does the hard work for you!)

Sorting through electrical equipment to ensure it can be sold

Welcoming our customers and helping provide a positive experience when shopping with us or donating goods
