HR AND RECRUITMENT TEAM VOLUNTEERS 


Cambridge Refugee Resettlement Campaign (CRRC) is a well-established, purely volunteer-run charity assisting refugees settling or being resettled by Local Authorities in Cambridgeshire. CRRC has grown significantly since its foundation in 2015 and now has around 160 volunteers supporting 155 families and individuals.

·      Are you excited to contribute your recruitment skills to a good cause?


If so, CRRC invites you to become part of our HR and recruitment team, playing a vital role in ensuring a smooth running of our charity. 


The role could be entirely remote with the possibility of occasional in person meetings in Cambridge. The expected hours will vary between 1 to 2 hours per week with a flexible working arrangement. We ask for a minimum commitment of 12 months. The position is unpaid. Expenses incurred in undertaking the role will be reimbursed. 

 

What you'll do

·       Manage recruitment requests from Team Leaders which will be flagged to you by the main Admin in the GMail inbox

·       Create job adverts upon request, issue mail merge mailouts to our pool of potential volunteers as well as advertise on relevant websites

·       Flag applicants to Team Leaders using a simple Trello process

·       Track applicants through the recruitment process using a Google sheets process

·       Issue templated emails to new volunteers to complete an induction and DBS vetting process

·       Support the applicant ID verification process for enhanced DBS via short video calls

·       Add new volunteers who have passed induction onto the volunteer database

·       On occasion, you may be required to support management of the email inbox through triaging, forwarding or responding to emails


What you'll need

· use of GSuite, Trello and spreadsheets

· previous recruitment experience is a massive bonus

· Excellent organisation skills 

· a confident communication style with people at all levels 

· Initiative and an eagle-eye for detail

Additional notes

We are looking to recruit a team of 2 to 3 volunteers. There is the opportunity to take a very active lead in the further development of the whole HR sector of CRRC or to remain in a well-defined supporting role. Either way, you will become a vital part of CRRC.
