We are looking for people to join our team of volunteers drivers collecting surplus food from local supermarkets across Cambridge first thing in the morning on weekdays between 7am and 9am.
Volunteer drivers play a vital role in ensuring good food doesn’t go to waste and is able to reach the community food hubs across the city.
Once collected, food is dropped to Unit 17 Barnwell Business Park (CB5 8UZ) on Wednesdays and Thursdays, to East Barnwell Community Centre (CB5 8RS) on Mondays, to The Edge Café (CB1 3DF) on Tuesdays, and to Trumpington Pavilion (CB2 9JT) on Fridays.
We welcome drivers who can help out every once in a while or those who can drive regularly!
We’d be delighted to hear from you if you’d like to get involved. As a volunteer driver you must have a valid UK driving licence and insurance on the vehicle you are driving.
