Summary
Enhancing the quality and comfort of the patient's stay, focusing on those with dementia. Use tools and equipment available to enhance engagement with patients.Detailed description
Help improve patient experience by:
- Spending time listening to patients and chatting
- Add to the 'What's important to me' document at the patient's bedside
- Engaging in appropriate activities e.g. using reminiscence boxes and dementia activity packs
- Using RITAs - following training (RITA = Reminiscence Interactive Therapy Activity systems)
- Reading for patients
- Helping at mealtimes
