Summary
Our marshall volunteers support Phlebotomy staff by guiding cars into the correct area and ensure the safe management of any queues that may build up.Detailed description
This role is Newmarket Park & Ride. Although high vis and cold/wet weather clothing is provided, the volunteer will be outside in all weather.
The volunteers help the phlebotomy service by :
- providing a marshall service guiding/directing cars into orderly queues awaiting procedure
- Ensure there is no blocking of exits/entrances
- Deal sensitively with those people who may be tense and nervous
- engage a patient using an activity pack, magazine
