Summary
Our YPP volunteers help enhance the quality and comfort of the patient's stay by providing social interaction, running small errands and helping at meal times.Detailed description
Help improve patient experience by:
- providing social interaction
- engage a patient using an activity pack, magazine
- run small errands e.g. tidying their tray table or go to the onsite shop for them
- Inform them of sleepwell kits
- Help with the meal service
Attend online healthcare awareness sessions
Attend Mid-term Healthcare Careers Event
At the end of the programme Volunteers receive a certificate and reference, provided sufficient hours have been completed.
There are opportunities to be a supervisor in the next programme and/or mentor to new YPP volunteers.
Applicants must be 16-18 years old at the time of application and have the right to work in the UK.
