Summary

Are you confident with IT skills? We are looking for someone with basic knowledge in technology to help local people access information, and improve skills.

Detailed description

A Digital Champion is a Volunteer who has a good knowledge of computers, laptops, tablets and mobile phones. They will use this knowledge to help Community Living Room attendees with technical questions and access difficulties. This could be by way of supporting them to find information, to book appointments online, to show people how to use their equipment, such as volume control or changing text size etc. The Volunteer will need to be available to attend the living room on set days each month, but this can be flexible. This role is open to all, and would suit any age group who has computer skills and wants to support their local community

Laptops will be available to use. Induction will be provided and a DBS will be necessary - the cost of this will be covered by the organisation. Refreshments available free of charge
