Summary
Volunteer Repairers wanted who are good at repairing things.Detailed description
The East Cambridgeshire Climate Action Network is helping to increase the number of Repair Cafes in East Cambridgeshire and needs people who can volunteer to repair things for other people.
Repair Cafes are community events that match people who need stuff fixed with people who like fixing things. Local, experienced, volunteer repairers repair all sorts of household items such as kettles, toasters, lamps, laptops, clothes, toys, bikes and more. All repairs are free, although donations are welcome.
There are already Repair Cafes in East Cambridgeshire at Ely, Littleport, Soham, Burwell and Haddenham and one is planned for Witchford.
About East Cambridgeshire Climate Action Network
The purpose of East Cambridgeshire Climate Action Network is to work to inspire, educate and persuade others to take action in their own lives and their communities to adapt to climate change, help facilitate a fair transition to net zero carbon emissions, increase biodiversity and reduce pollution primarily, but not exclusively, in East Cambridgeshire, England. As Community Interest Company (CIC) it is a non-partisan organisation.
