We have Girlguiding units across Cambridge and need extra hands to keep our groups running! For all volunteering enquiries, we will also require you to sign up through the Girlguiding website so that we can make sure the correct safeguarding checks take place as you would be volunteering with children.
During unit meetings, you would work with the leadership team to run activities for the girls and support them through the tasks. There are also other events throughout the year, such as cinema trips, scavenger hunts, climbing, etc. but these vary depending on which group you join.
Most of our units meet weekly during school term times and we have different groups on different days throughout the week (these will all be clear in the Girlguiding enquiry steps).
By volunteering with Girlguiding, you can have a huge impact on the girls in your unit and help them develop key skills that will benefit them throughout life, whilst also having heaps of fun and building new friendships.
