Why we want you
Parent to Parent is a UK wide confidential emotional support helpline provided over the phone by trained volunteers who give parents and carers an opportunity to talk through any issues, feelings or problems they’re experiencing. We are looking for Data Entry Volunteers who will support us with admin and data entry tasks that are essential in running this service.
We particularly welcome applications from autistic people.
What you will be doing
- Entering data on the service’s secure database
- Dealing appropriately with confidential information and documentation in line with the service’s policies
- Some occasional travel to attend training and forums will be necessary
- You will need access to your own computer/laptop with internet access
The skills you need
- Proficient understanding of Microsoft Office (Excel & Word)
- Ability to pick up new online platforms (training provided)
- Accurate keyboard skills and proven ability to enter data
- Able to self-motivate and work on your own initiative
- Ability to organise, prioritise and manage your own time
- A positive and flexible approach
- Be open-minded and willing to learn
- Be reliable, consistent, dependable
When and where
- You will volunteer from your own home
- You will need access to a computer and a good internet connection
- The role will take place Monday to Friday during office hours (9am to 5pm)
- We would like you to volunteer for one 3 hour shift per week
- You will need access to your own computer/laptop with internet access
