We are looking for individuals to join Red2Green's board of trustees, who brings with them up-to-date knowledge that will widen the understanding of our board.Detailed description
Do you want to serve with an experienced board of trustees, and use your experience and knowledge to enhance the work of a charity providing activities and learning for adults with LD and Autism in Cambridgeshire?
We have an experienced board, and would be open to welcoming someone who is looking for their first trustee position to gain experience in the governance of an organisation, acquiring an oversight of all functions including strategy, finance and budgeting, action planning, marketing, staffing issues and pay, and much more! We would also be open to someone with other trustee experience.
You may have a particular motivation for wanting to work with a disability charity, or you may just want to give something to the community. We don't mind. Our experience tells us that once you join Red2Green you won't want to leave.
We offer the option of 'hybrid' board meetings so the work can be undertaken remotely, although we would like you to be able to visit our barns occasionally.
We will consider a variety of experiences, and in particular, seek anyone with a background in any of the following:
- Corporate Relationships
- Grant Fundraising
- Corporate Social Responsibility
- Legal
- Adult Health and Social Care
- Lived experiences related to adults with learning disabilities or autism
- Education (especially additional needs)
We are are a Disability Confident Committed Employer, and would welcome anyone with disabilities to join our board of trustees.
As part of our board, you will support and shape our work and strategic direction, as well as help us achieve our purpose to provide a high-quality service that supports those with Learning Disabilities and Autism.
Hybrid working. 0-5 hours per month/ 1-3 hours per week. Mostly during office hours. We hold 6 Board meetings a year, on a Friday morning. There are optional subgroups that you can be involved in.
