Rowan is a vibrant, independent, registered charity providing an arts centre and forest school for adults with learning disabilities.
Volunteers play a key role at Rowan and help in a range of areas, including our creative workshops, our forest school Rowan Rangers, at fundraising events and in the office.
Relevant Experience:
- Proficiency in woodworking skills and techniques.
- Experience working with vulnerable people.
Qualifications:
- A valid DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check is required.
Timings and Days:
- Tuesdays
- Flexible hours: Either full day [9:30 am to 3:00 pm] or half days [9:30 am to 12:00 pm or 12:30 pm to 3:00 pm]
Responsibilities:
- Support students in developing specific woodwork and art and design skills.
- Provide verbal encouragement and engage in appropriate conversations.
What You Will Do:
- Assist students with their woodworking projects.
- Foster a positive and supportive learning environment.
