We are seeking a Reporting System Specialist to design, implement, train staff and possibly maintain, an efficient reporting system that supports data collection, analysis, and reporting across the organisation. The role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong technical and analytical skills to ensure data accuracy, accessibility, and usability for decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- System Setup & Implementation:
- Design and establish a structured reporting system tailored to organisational needs.
- Identify the best tools, software, or platforms for data collection, management, and reporting.
- Ensure the system integrates seamlessly with existing databases or software.
- Data Management & Analysis:
- Define key metrics, data sources, and reporting structures.
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and security within the reporting system.
- Develop automated reporting processes where applicable.
- Reporting & Insights:
- Create customised reports, dashboards, and visualisations to support internal and external reporting needs.
- Provide regular and ad-hoc reports to key stakeholders, ensuring they are actionable and insightful.
- Identify trends, gaps, and opportunities based on data analysis.
- Training & Support:
- Train staff on how to use the reporting system effectively.
- Develop user guides or documentation for reference.
- Act as the main point of contact for system troubleshooting and support.
- Compliance & Data Governance:
- Ensure reporting processes comply with relevant regulations and data protection policies.
- Maintain records of data sources and reporting methodologies.
- Implement safeguards to protect sensitive data.
Key Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience in data reporting, business intelligence, or database management.
- Proficiency in reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Excel, SQL, or other relevant software).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to design and implement efficient reporting frameworks.
- Excellent communication skills to translate data insights into actionable recommendations.
- Knowledge of data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA) is desirable.
- Experience training staff on reporting systems and data interpretation.
Preferred Experience:
- Previous experience in a data analyst, reporting specialist, or system implementation role.
- Familiarity with CRM systems, data warehouses, or cloud-based reporting solutions.
- Understanding of industry-specific reporting requirements.
