Summary
We are looking for people who either have lived experience of sex work and/or people with relevant skills to add to our board.Detailed description
We prioritise the voices and lived experiences of current or former sex workers and as such try and represent that at every level of our work. We are only just starting out, so this is a great opportunity to shape a local service for an often vulnerable population.
Don't worry if you don't have the lived experience - a passion for sex worker's rights and wellbeing and an experience in an adjacent field will be welcomed. You may have a background in mental health, women's services, LGBTQ+, or another equality and diversity related field, as well as areas like addiction support, sexual health or local government.
We would look to have at least a monthly meeting (which could be online depending on people's locations) and there would be some ad hoc admin-type duties through the month which you can do flexibly. We will offer training where necessary and opportunities to get as involved as you would like to be in areas such as fundraising or social media, for example.
