Summary

Volunteers needed to assist our friendly staff to help people access online services, gain computer & job skills. Help us change people's lives for the better.

Detailed description

Where: Coneygear Centre in Huntingdon.

When: Every Tuesday starting in March 2025.

9:30 AM to 12 noon


Clients: People in Huntingdon facing challenges and hardship due to lack of access to technology, digital skills, or confidence in using online services.

 

Free Training Provided - Sessions to clients will include:

  • One-on-one support for accessing online services (e.g., setting up email, managing online banking, accessing health services).


  • In-person support navigating online to improve financial stability; including for benefits (universal credit, pension credit), Council services, price comparison sites.


  • Access to free refurbished devices and internet connectivity for those in need.


  • Should there be enough interest, the sessions may also contain a job club for those who are un-employed / under-employed.

Our main centre is at the Hester Adrian Centre, but we also hold outreach sessions at several locations around Cambridge.
We are open from Monday to Friday.
